Business has truly taken over holiday plans now as not only is Marta queen of ladies belts with www.onceuponabelt.com but October 2009 we’ll launch a site selling shoes with interchangeable tops / uppers called Swap Top Shoes. The url will be www.swaptopshoes.com.
If you love holidays and looking stylish you will love the concept where you have one sole + many shoe tops so you don’t have to pack loads of shoes to take away. Good for weddings too where you don’t to have to buy a pair of shoes only to wear once to a special occasion.
Jane Rafter popularised this idea with her Slinks sandals when she appeared on Dragons Den in August 2009, although the Swap Top Shoes brand was already being built then. It was when Jane had several weddings to go to that she thought of her idea. Being of Spanish origin I have to wonder if these were three hour long Spanish weddings and that is why her shoes are a flat sandal ;- )
We hope to have Jane Rafter’s Slinks available in the future. The ladies of the UK seem to have latched onto the concept and sales of other similar shoe types like Nooshooz soared after the programme aired. Swap Top Shoes brings you the best of the various brands because every woman has her favourite style and a heel choice she finds most comfortable.
We have the big brands from the US on board like SwitchFlops or switch flops if you prefer, we’re talking to Onesole about the UK patent and have many really exciting designers lined up where we will be selling them online in the UK exclusively through www.swaptopshoes.com.

I’m always being asked for details of where I went as my friends know I often do lots of research and uncover some gems. If they are not asking, I am often found enthusing about my experiences because I want others to go share in the love. I live for my holidays and thought it’d be a good idea to save my tips and links in one place so I am not searching for scraps of paper I wrote on once upon a time. I use Trip Advisor a lot as well as Google and following my nose, but you never know if the people who wrote the review have the same standards or outlook on travel as you. I like to think of myself as a sport shy adventurous snob that loves to find an outstanding hotel for a reasonable price. Well I don’t like to think of myself as a snob but some might call me that as I have no interest in spending any of my Luxor holiday in an English themed pub. A great holiday for me does not have anyone wearing a football shirt in my line of sight.
