In My Footsteps Travelogue – You really must…

About

Hello.

My name is Marta and travel is my favourite subject – talking about my experiences out and about always makes me feel so happy. Doing this blog brings back wonderful memories and someone out there may find it useful too. I specialise in holidays that avoid sightings of football shirts (although I find many other ways to pratt about) and broaden the mind (with no tents involved – I’m a person that feels the cold who instead loves finding boutique hotels that don’t cost the earth), delight the lens or offer some relaxation. I say why even consider a job with less than 25 days holiday? These are best days of my year so I do quite a bit of research to get the most of them. These posts and pages amass those hints and great hotel finds into one place so it is easy for me to share with friends or like minded people. I do rather enthuse about some places I’ve been so am often found saying “You really must…”

Me snapshot: Born in the UK to Polish parents. Speak Polish and get by in Spanish. At 18 went to live in Madrid and then Warsaw teaching English as a Foreign Language. Some month long train trips around Europe were thrown into the mix too. That was my 2 years out of education (except now I was doing the educating) before coming back to do university in London. Also had a short spell in Sydney which is great to visit but too fake to live in when you’re used to gritty soulful history around you in Europe. Now I am in my mid 30s living in Berkshire, England with my husband every week and two teenage step daughters every other week. We try to cram in as many holidays as possible each year. In terms of work I manage an Online team for a large corporate and am a specialist in web usability but dream vocation is to write full time. Writing is my second love after holidays.
